The Manitou Springs Library is moving to the Manitou Arts Center temporarily while the situation with the old Carnegie building is resolved. Recently a task force was created by Manitou residents to work together to save the library and to raise funds to update the building to become ADA compliant. The task force is submitting an Endangered Places Program (EPP) grant as part of our public awareness campaign as well as fund-raising efforts for ADA compliance and building expansion of the Manitou Carnegie library. I volunteered to take photos of the library for the grant proposal recently and was very happy to be able to help however I could. My wife and I also wrote a letter that will be included in the application packet.
