This painting is my tribute to Coral Capers, one of the most memorable underwater levels in Donkey Kong Country on the SNES. The music—Aquatic Ambiance—is, in my opinion, one of the greatest video game tracks ever created. Riding through the water on a swordfish as a kid, with that soundtrack in the background… it just doesn’t get better. The game’s sound effects and visuals were ahead of their time, and I’ll always love it.
