This painting depicts Link wearing Majora’s Mask, and it holds a special place in my heart because The Legend of Zelda is one of my all-time favorite game series. I grew up playing it on the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), and my mom used to draw out the dungeon maps on graph paper for us. My brothers and I had a subscription to Nintendo Power and we loved the adventures, challenges, and stories in Nintendo games. We started with the NES, then got an SNES and then played through the N64. I grew up knowing and loving the Legend of Zelda series. Although the games have come a long way since then and are absolutely over the top incredible now with world class graphics, music and functionality, I will always cherish my 1980’s through 2000’s gaming scene memories with my family and friends.
